Nephrite

Manga: Nephrite was the second of Queen Beryl's Generals. He succeeded Jedite and swore to avenge his death. However, Nephrite boasted that his power was even greater than Jedite and he became quite arrogant. In his pursuit for the Ginzuishouhe entagles himself with Mitoki and Makoto. He manipulates Mitoki and Makoto brings Nephrite to his demise.
Anime: In the Anime, Nephrite is still the second General to collect energy for Queen Beryl and Metallia. He manipulates the stars and relies upon the stars to bring him hi youma and find the next target. As the season goes on he develops a relationship with Naru, Usagi's best friend. However, in the end he is killed by Zoicite's minions.
Name origin: The mineral Nephrite is a white to dark green variety of jade, made mostly of iron, calcium, and magnesium. It is the chief source of the world's jade. Nephrite is usually only green or a creamy white color.
