Rei- Spirit of Fire.
Mythology: To the Greeks, the god of war Ares was the most hated god, hated even by all the other gods (except his lover Aphrodite) and viewed as a troublemaker, one who caused nothing but violence, strife, and death. The Romans, who were less of a non-violent people than the Greeks, viewed Mars (the Roman Ares) as a battle god as well, but they also considered him to be benevolent, protective, and a spiritual god who had honor and concern for humans.
Rei is like Ares. She can be discordant, a bit bitchy (excuse my language), and even vain. At her best, Rei is like Mars: spiritual, with a true sense of honor, and very protective of and loving toward Usagi/Serena. Ares is usually accompanied in his chariot by his sister Eris (Strife) and his two attendants: Deimos (Panic) and Phobos (Fear) (do these names sound familiar). The planet Mars has two moons, and the larger is named Phobos while the smaller is named Deimos
Rei's crows are named Pheobus and Diemous. They are also known as the Mars' sons.
